Clinical Dental Hygienist - The New Jersey Center for Laser and Cosmetic Dentistry - West Caldwell, NJ

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental practice, you will work closely with our doctor to provide high-quality oral healthcare services to patients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Counselling patients and ensuring they feel comfortable and calm during examinations and treatments
Conducting patient screenings, including mouth and neck examinations, and reviewing oral health history
Educating patients on proper teeth and gum care, as well as the role of diet in oral health
Taking X-rays
Sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use
Removing plaque, cleaning teeth, and helping to prevent gum disease
Supporting the doctor in various aspects of dental care
Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry
Collecting medical and dental histories from patients
Charting dental conditions based on observations and evaluations
Scheduling recare appointments for patients

Work Schedule:
One , two or three days a week

Monday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements:

Valid X-ray license
Strong patient assessment skills
Experience with CAD software is a plus
Familiarity with Eaglesoft software is beneficial
Ability to take vital signs accurately
Previous experience in dental hygiene
Ability to schedule appointments and assist patients through the check-out process
