Certified Dental Hygenist - Upcountry Dental - Seneca, SC

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. We are a new, small dental private practice dedicated to providing excellent patient care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Current office hours are 8:00-4:00 Mon-Thurs, but full time and part time candidates will be considered.
Duties

Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Conduct dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture X-rays and other diagnostic images as needed.
Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and any necessary follow-up care in the electronic health record system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care to promote overall dental health.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Assist in the management of patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

Valid state certification as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practice.
Experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
Familiarity with documentation review processes and maintaining accurate patient records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
