Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Utilize dental software such as Epic for patient management and medical coding tasks.
Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes, contributing to advanced diagnostic capabilities.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and waiting areas.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
Knowledge of infection control standards and HIPAA regulations is essential.
Experience with X-ray technology, vital signs monitoring, and medical coding is a plus.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are required.
