Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to enhance office efficiency.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in general dentistry and prosthodontics.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software systems, particularly Dentrix Ascend.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, anatomy knowledge, and prosthodontics.
Ability to manage medical records accurately and efficiently.
Experience in taking X-rays while adhering to safety standards.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks.
