OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Monitor vital signs as required before, during, and after procedures.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Provide assistance in pediatric dentistry as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with infection control practices in a dental setting is required.
Experience with Dentrix software is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Ability to take X-rays and understand basic radiographic principles is preferred.
Understanding of general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is advantageous.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
