Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced, independent, and adaptable Dental/Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in orthodontic assisting, strong digital scanning experience, and excellent patient communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform intraoral digital scans (iTero or similar) with accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with appliance adjustments and support lab case tracking and communication.
Take high-quality dental radiographs (panoramic and intraoral).
Accurately chart clinical notes and support documentation using dental/medical software.
Assist chairside during TMJ evaluations, orthodontic procedures, and appliance fittings.
Monitor and communicate with dental labs to ensure timely fabrication and delivery of appliances.
Prepare operatories and maintain sterilization and infection control protocols.
Support patient intake, education, and follow-up, delivering clear communication and empathetic care.
Function independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Help maintain inventory and ordering of clinical supplies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 2+ years experience in a dental or orthodontic office.
Strong proficiency with digital scanning equipment (e.g., iTero, 3Shape).
Experience in orthodontics, TMJ care, or sleep dentistry a strong plus.
Excellent note-taking/documentation skills in digital patient management systems.
X-ray certification (NJ) and familiarity with dental radiography protocols.
Exceptional chairside manner, clear verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Able to think on your feet, adapt quickly, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable interacting with a variety of patients, including those with chronic pain or complex conditions.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
