Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take and develop dental x-rays- Prepare and maintain dental materials, such as composite fillings and impression materials- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting and update patient medical records- Assist with patient assessment and treatment planning- Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including passing instruments and suctioning- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience- Current CPR certification- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments- Proficiency in medical documentation and coding- Experience working with electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic)- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work well in a team environment- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
-Xray License
Note: Experience or interest in working with pediatric patients is a plus.
