Full Time Dental Assistant - iCare Family Dentistry - Fairfax, VA

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized according to aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Sterilize instruments and manage inventory of dental supplies.

Preferred Qualities:

Knowledge of dental terminology, and general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with endodontics procedures.
Experience with Open Dental software.
Ability to effectively apply aseptic techniques in clinical settings.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
