Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team. As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you will assist with various clinical tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations, ensuring the comfort of patients.
Assist hygienist with patient care. Set up and turn over hygiene rooms.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take dental X-rays as required, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and explain complex dental procedures.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control standards within the practice.

Skills

Must have a dental x-ray certification.
Proficiency in x-ray techniques and familiarity with dental codes.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques and or dental hygiene assistant to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Knowledge of infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Familiarity with dental systems and electronic medical records management.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
