Responsibilities

Cleaning teeth: Perform routine cleanings by removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth using hand and ultrasonic instruments.
Assessing oral health: Evaluate patients' teeth and gums for signs of disease, infection, or other abnormalities.
Taking dental X-rays: Capture high-quality X-rays to assist in diagnosing dental issues.
Screening for oral health problems: Check for signs of cavities, gingivitis, periodontal disease, oral cancers, and other conditions.
Patient Education
Oral hygiene instruction: Teach patients proper brushing, flossing, and other oral care techniques.
Explain procedures: Educate patients on procedures they may need and help them understand treatment plan.
Sealants: Apply dental sealants to the surfaces of teeth to prevent cavities.
Update Health/Medical history and conditions
Sterilize equipment: Ensure that all instruments and tools are sterilized and prepared according to safety protocols.
Follow infection control guidelines: Adhere to all health and safety regulations to prevent cross-contamination.
Scheduling appointments: Book and confirm follow-up appointments for patients.
Inventory management: Track dental supplies and order materials when necessary.
Continuing education: Stay updated with the latest techniques and developments in dental hygiene through courses and certifications.
Maintain licensure: Ensure compliance with local and state regulations, including maintaining certification and continuing education requirements,

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $47.72 - $50.36 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
