Job Overview:
We are a privately owned family dentist & orthodontist seeking a dedicated PART-TIME GENERAL DENTAL ASSITANT (ORTHO EXPERIENCE a plus). DUTIES:

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment
Assist with the use of 3D scanners for imaging when required
Support patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere tailored to their needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including flexibility, priority setting, problem solving & conflict resolutions
Knowledge of dental instruments & sterilization methods
Utilize time & complete tasks in a timely & efficient manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
Experience using Open Dental
Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques is required
Provide excellent patient care
Ability to operate 3D scanners is advantageous but not mandatory
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a clinical setting
Bilingual (English & Spanish) required
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Active State Dental Assisting license
2+ years of hands-on Dental Assistance experience. Ortho experience a PLUS.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
