Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dynamic dental team. This role involves working collaboratively with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure the highest standards of oral health are maintained for our patients.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Review and maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, emphasizing the importance of preventive care.
Assist in various dental procedures, demonstrating proficiency in four-handed dentistry.
Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during patient visits.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols within the dental clinic.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide care for pediatric patients, adapting approaches as needed for younger demographics.
Stay updated on current dental terminology and practices to enhance communication within the clinic.
Skills
Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control measures.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and general dentistry principles.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Excellent documentation review skills to maintain accurate patient records.
Ability to assist effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and patient assessment procedures.
Strong communication skills to educate patients about their oral health and hygiene practices.
