Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional oral care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. This role is essential in promoting oral health and ensuring the comfort of our patients during their visits.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Take and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the electronic health record system.
Utilize Denticon for managing patient appointments, treatment plans, and billing information.
Conduct medical imaging procedures as needed to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive dental care.
Stay current with dental terminology and best practices to enhance patient education.
Qualifications
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Knowledge of medical records management and understanding of medical terminology.
Proficiency in using Denticon or similar dental software is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on industry trends.
