OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a high level of patient comfort.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
Perform dental radiography and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Dentrix or similar software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper storage practices.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with patience and understanding.
Assist in endodontics procedures as needed, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic is advantageous.
Proficiency in general dentistry practices, including basic dental procedures and protocols.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages, particularly children in pediatric dentistry settings.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Pay: $17.25 - $19.24 per hour
