Overview We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced dental practice environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
Take and record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
Sterilize dental instruments following OSHA guidelines
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar systems
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently
Qualifications
Certification in Dental Assisting required
Proficiency in Prosthodontics procedures preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software
Experience with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
Ability to take X-Rays and operate radiographic equipment in compliance with state regulations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
