Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing excellent dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. You will assist the dentist in various tasks, manage patient records, and help create a welcoming environment for our young patients and their families.
Duties

Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and available.
Take medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records for each patient visit.
Manage patient flow by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are clean and organized.
Provide support to the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper dental hygiene practices specific to pediatric dentistry.
Monitor vital signs of young patients as needed during procedures to ensure their safety.
Stay updated on medical terminology related to pediatric dentistry and endodontics to communicate effectively with the dental team.

Requirements

Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is advantageous.
Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and maintaining accurate medical records.
Knowledge of dental receptionist duties is a plus, including appointment scheduling and patient management.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to pediatrics and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and parents alike.
A compassionate approach towards working with children, ensuring they feel comfortable during their visits.
