Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visits. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to assist in various dental specialties including endodontics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Take patient histories and record vital signs as necessary, demonstrating proficiency in medical terminology.
• Operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners, and assist with imaging procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage patient records using Oryx software (training will be provided), including scheduling appointments and handling medical coding as needed.
• Provide support in the front office as a dental receptionist when required, ensuring smooth operations within the practice.

Skills

• Proficient in assisting with various dental procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to the field.
• Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Ability to manage patient interactions effectively, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
