Job OverviewWe are seeking a cheerful, highly organized, and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator/Patient Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, hospitality, excellent customer service, and the willingness to learn. Leadership qualities are a plus! We want our patients to feel welcome from the moment you speak to them. You will play a crucial role in managing appointment schedules for our one-doctor private practice, ensuring that patients receive timely care while maintaining efficient operations. This position requires excellent customer service skills, a sense of urgency, and familiarity with dental office management practices. A drive to succeed and excel is a plus!
Duties

Manage and coordinate patient appointments using dental scheduling software, ensuring optimal use of office resources.
Learn how to verify patient insurance information and handle insurance verification processes.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, including reminders and follow-ups.
You will eventually learn dental terminology to better assist in scheduling treatment.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow within the office.
Maintain accurate records of appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling in the system.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the medical office.

Requirements

Proficiency in scheduling software such as Dentrix is preferred.
Previous experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical office management practices.
Willingness to be proactive in learning through systems we offer to advance your dental knowledge
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
Ability to learn to perform insurance verification and understand insurance policies related to healthcare services.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
