Dental Hygienist - Detroit Dental Office - Detroit, MI

We have an opening for a full-time / or part-time Dental Hygienist in Detroit. Recent Grads are welcome. Local Anesthesia Certification required.. We offer a competitive Salary and benefits for full-time employment.
Responsibilities

Conduct patient screening procedures; dental charting and taking blood pressure.
Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous
Take diagnostic radiographs.
Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment
Demonstrate proficient skills in dental prophylaxis and proper use of cavitron/prophy jet.
Application of sealants and fluorides.
Take study model impressions.
Must be a team player.
Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient.
Perio charting and treatment documentation
Provide positive, professional leadership role; demonstrate positive patient/staff rapport.
Properly handle specialty referrals
Stock all needed supplies and maintain equipment.
Successfully maintain recall system.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of applicable computer functions.
Comply with practice guidelines.

Qualifications
Desired Skills:

Hands on experience as a Hygienist
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene school. Current state license.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
