OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of oral hygiene. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with patients to educate them on proper dental care practices while assisting the dentist in various procedures. Your expertise in dental hygiene will contribute significantly to the overall health and satisfaction of our patients.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Document patient care accurately in Dentrix, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly applied.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to patient consultations.
Provide care for pediatric patients, adapting approaches to meet their unique needs.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experiences and outcomes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in dental assisting or a similar role within a dental office setting.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices, medical terminology, and documentation review processes.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is preferred.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse patient populations.
Ability to perform aseptic techniques effectively in a clinical environment.
Experience or interest in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
