Team-Oriented Dental Assistant - 49th State Family Dentistry - Fairbanks, AK

We are looking for a dental assistant for a fun office in a convenient location in South Anchorage. We will have you working primarily as a dental assistant and occasionally up at the front desk.
Experience and/or education in dental assisting is appreciated but not required. We are willing to train someone that is a motivated, fun and a hard worker! Dental assisting is a great career that can be learned on the job and some of our best assistants have started here with no dental experience.
Must be great with patients/customers, must work well with a team. Must be reliable.
3-4 days a week, 8-5, no evenings or weekends.
Pay: $18-26/hr DOE (with PTO and retirement plan matching)

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during procedures by providing chairside support and managing instruments.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all tools and materials are sterile and ready for use.
Take and process dental X-rays, adhering to safety and HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
Manage patient records and assist with scheduling appointments using EMR systems.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient care.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
