OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the implementation of infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Utilize Eaglesoft or similar dental office systems for patient management and record keeping.
Conduct assessments of vital signs and document findings accurately.
Provide support during four-handed dentistry procedures to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain knowledge of anatomy and medical coding relevant to dental procedures.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental office management systems is preferred.
Strong understanding of infection control practices and protocols.
Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health is essential.
Experience with pediatrics is a plus, as you will be working with patients of all ages.
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively.
Attention to detail in documentation review and patient assessments.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
