Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care while ensuring patient comfort and safety. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure accurate treatment planning.
Utilize knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and the dental team.
Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
Conduct assessments for pediatric dentistry, adapting techniques as necessary for younger patients.
Assist in medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
Strong understanding of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Proficient in documentation review and maintaining accurate patient records.
Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology is essential.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Ability to perform medical imaging tasks as required by the practice.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
