Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide quality oral care and hygiene services to our patients, ensuring their dental health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct dental cleanings and assist dentists in patient care procedures- Perform oral health assessments and take patient medical histories- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in [State]- Proficient in HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures- Ability to perform patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for dental procedures is a plus- Experience working in a pediatric dental setting is preferred- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
