Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while performing a variety of dental hygiene procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced dental clinic environment. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Utilize dental instruments and equipment to perform scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary choices that affect oral health.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Assist in the management of the dental office by coordinating appointments and managing patient flow.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Experience
Previous experience in dental assisting or a similar role is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
Experience working in a pediatric setting is a plus, as you may be required to assist young patients.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
