Dental Assistant
Full-Time | $16 –$25/hour (based on experience)
Overman Family Dentistry is a dynamic, patient-focused dental practice located in Ames, Iowa. As a growing two-doctor office, we are proud to offer a wide range of innovative services and are currently seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

Provide chairside assistance for a variety of procedures, including:
Composite fillings
Root canals
Crown build-ups
Full and partial dentures
Extractions
Orthodontic bracketing and Invisalign attachments
Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families
Perform child prophylaxis and take radiographs
Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment
Accurately chart patient information, manage lab cases, and uphold patient confidentiality
Assist with various dental lab tasks and operatory maintenance

Qualifications:

Current certification to assist in Iowa (or willingness to obtain certification through on-the-job training)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Confidence and competence in assisting a wide range of dental procedures
Excellent time management and organizational abilities

Preferred (but not required):

Expanded Functions certification
Experience in orthodontic assisting
Leadership experience
Familiarity with Eaglesoft dental software
