Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our Slidell privately-owned dental office. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of dental hygiene. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health, and educate them on proper hygiene practices, within a supportive environment.
Duties

Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral examinations.
Conduct professional teeth cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutritional counseling, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with office protocols.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Experience

Proven experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred, with familiarity in both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry being advantageous.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and systems relevant to oral health.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to manage individual responsibilities effectively.
