Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and professional Dental Hygienist to join our team! Our ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a team environment, and is committed to helping patients achieve their best oral health. You will be required to take x-rays and perform routine and deep cleanings. You’ll help the dentist decide treatment for teeth or gum disease. We are looking for someone who is reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. We use Open Dental Software.
We have 2 amazing Doctors and we are a private practice. We are looking for a hygienist Tuesday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. You will get a 1 hour lunch each day.
Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays or dental impressions
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies

Skills

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Diploma in Dental Hygiene
Valid license to practice

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
