Dental Hygienist - - Plano, TX

Location/Org Data : Brand Logo: Overview: Dental Hygienist Dr. Marshall Johnson and Dr. Elizabeth Jaynes, respected periodontal and implant practice, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team two days per week. Schedule: Monday, Thursday 8-4:30, maybe some Fridays 8-12 (with last appointment at 11) Responsibilities: Perform thorough dental cleanings including scaling, polishing, and root planing as needed Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions of teeth and gums Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Apply fluoride treatments when appropriate Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental record Monitor and maintain hygiene supplies and equipment Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned Qualifications: Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of Texas An associate’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program CPR certification Nitrous oxide monitoring certificate Proficient in Dentrix and Dexis Preferred Skills 5+ years’ experience preferred; periodontal experience is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Gentle and compassionate chairside manner Proficiency with dental software Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality care Familiarity with common dental procedures and patient education techniques We Offer Competitive Compensation Uniforms Hygiene Assistant to manage sterilization, setting up appointments, etc...
