Pediatric Dental Hygienist - ToothBuds Diamond Head - Honolulu, HI

Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our busy pediatric dental office the Diamond Head area. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will be to treat children between the ages of 1-18 years old. Your duties will include performing dental cleanings, conducting oral examinations, taking X-rays, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. This is a part time position. Your schedule would be every other Saturday from 7am -12pm.
Duties:- Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth- Conduct comprehensive oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients- Take and develop digital x-rays for diagnostic purposes- Apply fluoride treatments as needed- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining good oral health- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit
Qualifications:- Valid Hawaii dental hygiene license- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and interpretation- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work well in a team environment
