Dental Assistant/Surgical Dental Assistant - Affiliated Periodontists of North Jersey - Garfield, NJ

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant for an established, state-of-the-art periodontal/surgical practice. Candidate to be a progressive team member promoting quality surgical periodontics in a private, high-quality environment. X-ray license and 5 years dental assisting experience a must. Position is permanent, part-time. Two to three days a week.
Desired experience:
-A mature, reliable, and thorough professional with a positive attitude.
-Proficient with surgical dental procedures to include tooth extractions, reshaping of gums, jawbone surgery, and dental implants to replace missing teeth.
-Effective/efficient with the daily dental assistant functions to include preparation of patients, maintenance of organized oral surgery units, and able to anticipate the Periodontist's needs with dental treatment procedures using sterile techniques.
-In conformance with established policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols of all laws/regulations governing the role/responsibilities of the Surgical Dental Assistant.
