Dental Assistant/EFDA or Experienced Lead - Hood Canal Family Dental - Hoodsport, WA

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and instruments- Perform dental charting and update patient records in the electronic medical documentation system (Epic)- Assist with medical coding and billing processes- Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures- Perform pediatric dental procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program- Current certification in dental assisting (CDA) preferred- X-ray certification required- Knowledge of medical documentation systems, such as Epic, for maintaining patient records- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental prosthetics is a plus- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
