Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. We are a unique, art filled penthouse office with a therapy cat and a therapy dog. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming impressions
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
- Dental assisting experience (at least 2 years)
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Familiarity with infection control and aseptic techniques
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
