Dental Hygienist - St. George Medical Clinic - Hambleton, WV

St. George Medical Clinic, Inc. – Dental Clinic is seeking a motivated, goal-orientated individual to help provide the most efficient dental care a Dental Hygienist. SGMC – Dental is a fast growing federally qualified dental clinic providing superior quality dental care for patients of all ages. Qualified candidate must be courtesy and professional to both co-workers and patients, be a team-oriented individual with the ability to assess, perform and reinforce productive preventative dental care. Qualified candidate must communicate diagnosed dental treatment needs through established corporate protocols.
Other Essential responsibilities include:

Follow organizations practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, charting, referrals, emergency medicine, implants, and emergency treatment.
Demonstrate proficient skills in dental prophylaxis and proper use of equipment.

Demonstrate complete knowledge and usage of dental terminology, dental instruments, tray setups and instrument sharpening.

Effectively communicate oral hygiene instructions and dispense proper oral hygiene aids.
Comply with practice guidelines listed in employee handbook.
Proficient in electronic charting - including graphical charting, and proper chart documentation.
Understand and utilize basic insurance knowledge and financial policies.
Provide positive and professional leadership role.
Properly handle specialty referrals.
Successfully maintain recall system.
Dentrix computer experience a plus
Achieve defined goals established by organization
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Current dental hygiene license in the state where job is located.
Current CPR training.
Associate Degree in dental hygiene a minimum, bachelor’s degree preferred
Two years of practice experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform basic computer functions; Excel, Word, Dentrix, etc.
Exercise knowledge of dental instruments and terminology.
Support corporate vision and strategy, both short term and long term.
