Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the dental office. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care. We support patients at two offices: our primary location in Silverdale and our secondary location in Bainbridge.
Our office provides care for patients Tuesday - Friday allowing for a positive work/life balance! Office hours are Tuesdays (Bainbridge), Thursdays (Silverdale), and Fridays (Silverdale) from 7am - 4pm and Wednesdays (Silverdale) from 7am - 2pm. This position will support both locations.
Pay range for this position is $22-$29 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared beforehand.- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories.- Manage infection control procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations.- Assist with procedures as needed, including but not limited to: implants, grafts, extractions, etc.- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred
-Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assistance program- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental terminology is essential- Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures is required- Experience with medical imaging techniques is beneficial- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining accurate records
-Good written and verbal communication skills- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members- Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred.- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Experience using computers for a variety of tasks
