OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic periodontal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our patients while promoting optimal oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and maintaining accurate medical records.
We are a single doctor, periodontal practice in the Owings Mills, Maryland area.
Our office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am-5pm.

NO nights or weekends.
We can discuss actual hours based on your needs (i.e. Start at 8 or 9am and finish at 4 or5 pm).
This position will be filled either by a single hygienist working all 4 days or a combination of hygienists working specific days.
As a periodontal practice, we are very supportive of our hygienist(s) and allow 60 min for each periodontal maintenance visit. No 20, 30 or 40 minutes appointments.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings, radiographs and assessments for patients from ages 21-90.
Review and document medical records accurately, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and the dental team.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the treatment area to ensure a safe environment.
Stay informed about advancements in general dentistry practices to provide the best care possible.

Qualifications

Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental terminology.
Familiarity with documentation review processes and HIPAA compliance.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Certification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited program is required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
