Job Summary â Pediatric Dentist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our dynamic and patient-centered dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong foundation in pediatric dental care. This role involves providing high-quality dental services to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for every young patient. The Pediatric Dentist will work closely with our clinical team to deliver comprehensive, age-appropriate dental care while maintaining accurate records and upholding the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments tailored to pediatric patients.
Provide preventive, restorative, and minor surgical treatments in accordance with pediatric dental protocols.
Apply behavior management techniques to ensure patient cooperation and comfort.
Administer nitrous oxide or other appropriate sedation techniques when necessary.
Educate parents and caregivers on childrenâs oral health, hygiene practices, diet, and preventive care.
Maintain a clean and child-friendly clinical environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Document patient visits and treatment plans using Epic, Eaglesoft, or other dental software.
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and office staff to ensure a seamless care experience.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education.
Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Dentistry is preferred.
Valid state dental license to practice.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry and behavior guidance techniques.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, child-friendly demeanor.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $118,834.27 - $143,112.23 per year
