DiMichaelangelo Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding care to every patient and supporting our clinical team with precision and compassion.
What You’ll Do:
Clinical Support

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with OSHA standards
Assist the dentist chairside during exams and procedures
Take and develop dental x-rays
Follow clinical protocols and ensure readiness for each patient visit

Patient Care

Provide a warm and positive experience from check-in to post-procedure
Explain treatment and post-op instructions clearly and compassionately
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care

Administrative & Coordination

Assist with appointment scheduling and patient communications using practice scripts
Maintain accurate patient records, radiographs, and documentation
Support front and back office operations as needed

Inventory & Equipment

Monitor clinical inventory and order supplies as needed
Maintain and log equipment functionality and cleanliness

Compliance

Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols
Complete all required documentation and onboarding tasks

What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience as a dental assistant preferred
Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Proficient in dental software and digital x-rays
Detail-oriented, dependable, and team-focused

Required:

Current Radiology License
Current CPR Certification
Hepatitis B Vaccination

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks
Ability to lift/push dental equipment up to 25 lbs
Visual acuity and manual dexterity for assisting in oral procedures
Strong verbal communication in English
