Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control.
We are a small family-owned, fee-for-service, relationship-based dentistry practice. The ideal candidate is expected to be motivated to form meaningful relationships with our patients in order to provide high quality, personalized care.
We schedule 1-hour prophy visits and S/RP visits allowing 1 hour per quadrant are ideal for providing the detailed level of care our patients have come to expect of our team of professionals.
Digital x-rays, Dentrix software, digital intra-oral camera, iTero scanner for diagnostics, restorative, and Invisalign.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and conducting oral examinations.
Administer dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing as necessary to maintain optimal oral health.
Utilize digital imaging systems to capture radiographs and assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments performed and any changes in patient health status.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, including pediatric dentistry techniques.

Experience

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential.
Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and vital signs monitoring is beneficial.
Experience working in a dental clinic environment with an emphasis on infection control practices is highly desirable.
A passion for providing exceptional patient care and the ability to work effectively within a team are crucial for success in this role.
