Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Mission Viejo, CA

Our dental practice is seeking 2 exceptional candidates to be part of our team. We are looking for Dental Assistants [ If you are a REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT compensation is DOE] who can work alongside a group of passionate and knowledgeable dental team committed to providing quality dental work and excellent customer service to our patients.
We are looking for someone who can work full-time (Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) or part-time (Mondays and Thursdays)
Our work schedule is MONDAYS, THURSDAYS, FRIDAYS and SATURDAYS from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We sometimes open our TUESDAYS for overflow patients at least 1 or 2x a month. The compensation is dependent on experience and skills of the applicant. Knowledge in navigating Eaglesoft program is a plus. 8 hr. Infection control class and Dental X-ray License is required for dental assistant position
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
- Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform medical imaging as needed.
- Manage patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans, using Eaglesoft software.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
- Engage in four-handed dentistry by working closely with the dentist to improve efficiency during procedures.
- Assist with endodontic procedures and other specialized treatments as required.
- Schedule appointments and manage front desk duties when necessary, acting as a dental receptionist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Skills
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of 3D scanners and modern dental technology.
- Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and practices.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with endodontics is a plus, enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.
