OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
Perform dental radiography (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Eaglesoft software.
Manage sterilization of instruments and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques.
Conduct preliminary assessments of patients, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required, ensuring precision in capturing dental structures.
Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their specific needs, fostering a welcoming environment.
Assist in managing inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
Requirements
At least six months experience within the past three years.
Familiarity with medical documentation practices and terminology is essential.
Radiology certified.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile work environment is required.
Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and empathy.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
