Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Waxhaw, NC

As a Business Assistant you are responsible for all dental front desk and scheduling specialist duties, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, processing payments, and managing phone communications to ensure excellent patient service and efficient office operations. Location: Young & Polite Childrenâs Dentistry Waxhaw Hours: Monday â Friday | 6:45 AM â 4:00 PM Pay:$15-$16 per hour Job Summary Answer calls with professionalism, empathy, and positivity Confirm upcoming patient appointments and verify insurance Keep our schedule full, accurate, and productive Return voicemails and respond to email inquiries Use Dentrix and NexHealth to manage appointments Collaborate with team members and follow scheduling protocols Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures) Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access at the reception desk Perform front desk duties such as check in, checkout, update patient information, collect balances and estimates, verify insurance, review treatment and procedures, and scheduling appointments Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as answering phones, filing, photocopying, printing and faxing What we are looking for: Friendly, clear, and confident on the phone Organized and detail-oriented Able to handle fast-paced environments Comfortable with technology and dental software A team player who thrives on communication and integrity Experience in a dental office or medical call center Knowledge of Dentrix and basic dental terminology Bilingual (Spanish or other) If you have the skills and experience required, we want to hear from you!
