Minimum Qualifications : Registered Dental Hygienist NC license Experience and proficiency with digital imaging and dental software – experience with Dentrix preferred Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment Ability to present treatment plan and gain case acceptance in coordination with the treating dentist Be open to coaching Upbeat and enthusiastic attitude Flexible Clinical skills include: Must perform full periodontal evaluation, periodontal probing and ability to assess levels of periodontal disease. Follows through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the dentist. Must be able to perform all periodontal procedures, which include: periodontal probing, prophylaxis, periodontal scaling and root planing, full mouth debridement, application of fluoride treatments, and application of protective sealants. Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening and sterilizing. Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions; providing reminders and scheduling of next dental hygiene visit. Maintains dental hygiene supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. Computer skills include: Dentrix software and digital x-rays, experience with both is a plus. Use of intraoral cameras for patient education.
