Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Matthews, NC

Position Overview: Vibrant Dentistry is seeking a warm and organized Entry-level Dental Receptionist to be the welcoming face and first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, professional, and compassionate experience from the moment a patient walks through the door or calls our office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly and polished demeanor, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Reception & Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out processes. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls appropriately. Maintain a professional and courteous tone with all patients, both in person and over the phone. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and provide information about their appointments. Build rapport with patients to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. Scheduling & Communication: Schedule and confirm appointments accurately using practice management software. Coordinate appointment reminders and manage cancellations and rescheduling. Ensure timely communication with patients regarding treatment, financial responsibilities, and follow-ups. Administrative & Front Office Support: Maintain accurate patient records and update contact/insurance information as needed. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments. Collect co-pays and account balances at the time of service. Assist with light office tasks, such as mail handling and tracking office supplies. Support the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations. Requirements: Entry-level welcome, 1+ year healthcare experience is a plus Strong interest in the field of dentistry Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Friendly, patient-focused, and professional demeanor. Quick learner. Adaptable to new technology. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Good work ethic and reliable. Preferred Qualifications: Experience verifying insurance and scheduling in a dental practice. Previous training in patient-facing roles such as hospitality, retail, or healthcare.
