Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments according to infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform administrative tasks such as managing patient intake forms and billing. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations. Qualifications Knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology is essential. Experience with dental receptionist duties is preferred. Familiarity with medical coding is a plus. Proficient in infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Experience with four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. Understanding of prosthodontics is beneficial. Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is an advantage.
