Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Potomac, MD

Overview Randolph Kim DDS Cosmetic & Family Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Dental administrative support. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate records. The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for providing excellent patient service while adhering to HIPAA regulations and utilizing various electronic health record (EHR) systems. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the dental clinic. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, confirmations, and reminders using EHR systems such as CurveGro Dental. Handle insurance verification and billing processes, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including filing and updating medical records as necessary. Assist with dental collection processes and review documentation for accuracy. Utilize multi-line phone systems to manage incoming calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately. Provide clerical support including typing correspondence, managing office supplies, and maintaining a clean front desk area. Collaborate with dental professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, ADA coding, and health information management practices. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office environment. Familiarity with EHR systems such as Curve Dental or similar platforms is preferred. Strong understanding of dental billing processes, insurance verification procedures, and coding practices. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing skills. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction and effective communication (phone etiquette). Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment (time management). Knowledge of dental terminology and clinic experience is highly desirable.
