We are a small close knit office with good/fun patient base. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in both pediatric and general dentistry. This role requires proficiency in various dental software systems, including Eaglesoft and Dentrix, as well as a comprehensive understanding of dental terminology and procedures. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients while ensuring compliance with all health regulations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Assist in the documentation review of medical records and maintain accurate patient files. Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient management and record keeping. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures. Collaborate with the dental team to provide chairside assisting during treatments. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Experience Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding, medical terminology, and documentation review is beneficial. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
