Job description Are you a motivated, organized, reliable dental assistant? Benefits (PTO, Paid Holidays, Dental Plan) are be included after 90 day review. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 1 year of experience. Responsibilities include: Assisting in most major facets of dentistry including Restorative, Endodontic, Child Prophylaxis, Oral Hygiene Instruction and Oral surgery procedures. Taking x-rays, sterilization, cleaning rooms, stocking Basic math skills and ability to perform basic front office duties when needed Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 32 â 40 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Experience: Dental Assistants: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while following safety standards. Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience with dental software Conduct preliminary assessments including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including prosthodontics and endodontics. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners and assist with medical imaging as needed. Requirements Registered Dental License Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Ability to perform medical coding, documentation, and maintain accurate medical records. Strong understanding of infection control protocols within a dental clinic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
