Private Dental Practice (Prairie Dental Ltd). is seeking a polished professional for our office, located in Plainfield. This Part-Time position is currently scheduled , TUES 8:30-5, WED-OFF, THURS 10:30 to 7, FRI 8:30-1 and 2 SAT a month 8:30-1. Candidate will be performing routine hygiene procedures, periodontal services, assessing the needs of the patients, presenting oral hygiene instruction, as well as a variety of other responsibilities. Must have RDH license, Laser certified and anesthesia certificate preferred. This is not a position to sit back and wait for things to happen, but rather an opportunity to help make great things happen! Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $44.00 - $46.00 per hour Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Valid license to practice Job Type: Part-time Pay: $44.50 - $48.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week Work Location: In person
