The Doctors' Volunteer Clinic is looking for a Part Time Dental Assistant to join our team. Our clinic serves those who do not have traditional access to medical, dental or mental health care. This position requires fluency in Spanish. Duties - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist - Take dental x-rays - Prepare and maintain dental equipment and supplies - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform dental charting and documentation - Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or experience - X-ray certification - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity in using dental software systems such as Dentrix - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Skills - Experience with dental restorations and extractions - Knowledge of dental imaging techniques and interpretation - Understanding of medical documentation requirements If you are a skilled Dental Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity, please apply.
